MODULE 5 – BALANCING YOUR HORMONES
Your hormones regulate all processes in your body so making sure they are in great health is super-important. Unfortunately, the majority of people have some kind of hormone imbalance, maybe you’re one? We’re going to fix that! In this module, we look at the different hormones in your body and the most simple but effective actions you can take and foods you can eat to get them back into balance and working optimally, to avoid and heal any symptoms of having unhappy hormones 🙂
Great Health Diet Stage For This Module…
Stage 2 – Restore
This second, ‘Restore’ stage of great health for life is about repairing your gut flora or ‘good bacteria’. This further aids digestion and – done in the right way – boosts immunity, balances your hormones and enhances your mood and psychological wellbeing.
This is where we introduce/optimise some probiotic and fermented foods and drinks into your daily diet to make your gut ‘microbiome’ really healthy. We don’t need to eat a huge amount but little and often is a good idea, which is what you’ll see in the meal plan for weeks 3&4 (download from Module 4).
Module 5 Diet Action
Download the ‘Low-Carb High-Fat Keto Green Smoothie’ Recipe Sheet and make each day as your new Cleanse food (in order to balance your insulin/blood sugar levels and macronutrient ratios). Continue eating your probiotic gut restoring foods, try making a new one this week – natural live yoghurt, kefir, kimchi or sauerkraut (recipes in Module 4 and Recipes section). Have a small amount 2-4 times per day with your meals.
